Sportech Racing to Launch First US-based Spanish Language Website for Wagering on Horse Racing

Launch of Camarero Racetrack’s New GanaDondeSea.com Spanish language wagering website and agreement to deliver a new white label interactive package to Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino.

NEW HAVEN, CT – Sportech Racing LLC, a division of Sportech PLC (LSE: SPO), has announced three key developments as part of the ongoing expansion in the company’s Interactive Products and Services (“IP&S”) division.

GanaDondeSea.com launch

On March 7th, Sportech launched a new white label Spanish language wagering website on behalf of Camarero Racetrack, the home of horse racing in Puerto Rico. 

GanaDondeSea.com is the central element of Sportech’s turnkey package that also includes Spanish language Customer Care and comprehensive marketing together with a mobile wagering service for smart phones and tablets. Sportech engaged Puerto Rico based advertising agency, JMD Communications, to develop and execute branding and launch activities customized to the local market.

Agreement signed with Evangeline Downs and Casino of Opelousas

Sportech Racing has signed an agreement with Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino of Opelousas, Louisiana, a subsidiary of Peninsula Gaming, to provide a package of customized Internet and mobile technologies and services for advance deposit wagering on pari-mutuel racing. 

Sportech will provide Evangeline Downs with a fully-featured, customized wagering website, a smart-phone/tablet wagering application and turnkey services, including customer care and comprehensive marketing support.

These two new partnerships join a growing list of recently awarded contracts to Sportech Racing for the provision of turnkey IP&S. Sportech offers a diversity of consumer-facing gaming opportunities through “brick and mortar” and interactive sales channels in the US, UK and Netherlands, all with extensive online gaming, marketing and customer care functions and through which Sportech has developed significant expertise. This has influenced the development of the turnkey services now available to Sportech’s customers who want an online wagering presence and a means to retain and nurture their relationships with bettors.

New Customer Care Contact Center

Finally, concurrent with these developments, Sportech also announced the opening of a new Contact Center in New Haven, Connecticut through which the company delivers support to end users of Sportech’s interactive wagering platforms, as well as to customers of Sportech’s own Winners On The Wire telephone wagering service.  

The Sportech Contact Center utilizes leading edge call center hardware and software with integration to the IP&S wagering platforms to deliver live operator wagering, customer service and tech support to end users, including Spanish language support.  The facility currently provides for 60-seats and is further expandable, as future needs dictate.
