Sportech Racing Provides Key Technology and Services to New California Mini Satellite
Sportech Racing helps Santa Clarita Lanes in Saugus, CA bring the thrill of horse racing to a new audience.
NEW HAVEN, CT – Sportech Racing LLC, a division of Sportech PLC (LSE: SPO), announced the opening of a new mini satellite off-track wagering venue at Santa Clarita Lanes in Saugus, California. Mini satellites are off-track wagering operations established in dining and entertainment venues – such as bars, restaurants and card clubs – where patrons can wager on and watch live horseracing. California regulations allow for 45 mini satellites, subject to local approvals, and Sportech has assisted with all those opened to-date.
Sportech was selected to provide key assistance in the identification of venue locations and with build-out of the facilities for wagering activity. Sportech also provides terminals for wagering, audio/visual equipment for the display of race video and services for on-going operations. Sportech provides totalisator services to the new mini satellite through its Quantum™ Data Center in Sacramento.
